What You Will Do:
You’ll partner with employees, managers, and contractors to identify and reduce workplace hazards, conduct inspections, and ensure our procedures always meet industrial safety standards. You’ll support training programs, lead safety meetings, track incidents, and provide reporting that helps us continuously improve. Whether it’s OSHA recordkeeping, accident investigations, or daily guidance on-site, you’ll be on the front lines of safety — keeping Centrus compliant, proactive, and ready for anything.
We’d Love to Hear From People With:
- An Associate’s degree in Industrial/Occupational Safety, Biological/Physical Sciences, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - 1+ years experience in Safety & Health or a related field. The ability to obtain and maintain a “Q” clearance.
- A B.S. degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related field, plus 6+ years of experience.
- Certified Safety Professional® (CSP®) or equivalent certification.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to influence safety culture across teams.
- A proactive mindset, spotting potential issues before they become problems.
An active “Q” clearance

"This position requires the successful candidate to obtain and maintain a Q security clearance. Candidates for positions requiring a security clearance are required to be tested for the absence of any illegal drug as defined in 10 CFR 707.4 prior to an offer of employment being made. In addition, once employed, employees will become part of a random drug testing program and may also be tested in the event of any incident causing injury or causing damage to property, or if it is determined that there is a reasonable suspicion the employee is under the influence of drugs or alcohol. This position will require a preemployment background check on the part of the Company and in order to receive a Q security clearance, a background investigation by the Federal government. Subsequent Federal government reinvestigations may be required."
