Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Safety Coordinator to join our team. The Safety Coordinator will be responsible for implementing safety programs, conducting training sessions, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Will report to Safety Director.
Duties:
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes
- Provide safety training to employees on various topics including first aid and CPR
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, MSHA, and other regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with management to address safety concerns and improve overall safety culture
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) practices
- Familiarity with Workers Compensation laws and regulations
- Experience in training development and delivery
- Proficiency in conducting root cause analysis for incidents
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred
- Understanding of Occupational Health standards
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Ability to fabricate safety equipment when necessary
