Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all employees by developing, implementing, and overseeing health and safety protocols and training programs. This position requires a proactive approach to identifying potential hazards and fostering a culture of safety within the organization.

Responsibilities

•

Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.

•

Implement comprehensive health and safety training programs for employees at all levels.

•

Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.

•

Oversee health and safety policies and procedures that align with industry best practices.

•

Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, and incident reports.

•

Stay updated on relevant legislation, regulations, and industry trends related to workplace safety.

•

Promote awareness of health and safety practices through workshops, seminars, and informational materials.

Experience

•

Proven experience in a safety officer or similar role within a manufacturing environment.

•

Strong understanding of Ontario regulations and other applicable safety standards.

•

Experience in training development, with the ability to create engaging educational materials for diverse audiences.

•

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey safety information to employees at all levels.

•

Strong analytical skills for assessing risks and implementing effective solutions.

•

Certification in occupational health and safety or related field is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
