Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all employees by developing, implementing, and overseeing health and safety protocols and training programs. This position requires a proactive approach to identifying potential hazards and fostering a culture of safety within the organization.
Responsibilities
•Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
•Implement comprehensive health and safety training programs for employees at all levels.
•Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
•Oversee health and safety policies and procedures that align with industry best practices.
•Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, and incident reports.
•Stay updated on relevant legislation, regulations, and industry trends related to workplace safety.
•Promote awareness of health and safety practices through workshops, seminars, and informational materials.
Experience
•Proven experience in a safety officer or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
•Strong understanding of Ontario regulations and other applicable safety standards.
•Experience in training development, with the ability to create engaging educational materials for diverse audiences.
•Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey safety information to employees at all levels.
•Strong analytical skills for assessing risks and implementing effective solutions.
•Certification in occupational health and safety or related field is a plus.

Pay: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
