In addition to our expertise in tunnel and shaft construction, our group manufactures total tunneling systems, from design and engineering through to manufacturing and in-field commissioning. Ewing (a Technicore Group Company) is a manufacturer producing steel and precast concrete products including concrete pressure pipe and manholes for water and wastewater projects and steel products for everyday infrastructure construction.
Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a Health and Safety Coordinator for a full-time position. The successful candidate will work with the Health and Safety Team of Ewing Fabricators to provide full oversight various health and safety activities.
Responsibilities
•Maintain statistics and records and monitor accident/incident frequencies and safety violations; assist in investigations and complete related documentation.
•Assist in the planning of new activities and review and help mitigate risks associated with those activities.
•Inventory safety related training of workers; conduct new worker safety orientations.
•Regularly monitor safety compliance of workers and subcontractors; conduct site inspections and institute remedial action if required.
•Ensure completion of regular site inspection reports from supervisors; note resolution to any deficiencies or actions taken on the report.
•Conduct field level safety meetings, tool box talks, and health and safety informational awareness.
•Keep management current on the status of any issue(s) that may impact on the work being performed.
•Provide guidance, support, and be an active member of the JHSC.
•Other duties as assigned.

•Have good working knowledge of local government Health & Safety Acts, Policies, Regulations, and Industry Standards as they apply to the industry.
•Strong computer skills, using MS Office.
•Problem solving and critical thinking skills
