Duties & Responsibilities
•Coordinate and attend health and safety related trainings and meetings
•Formulate monthly crew safety meeting topics and agenda
•Review monthly crew safety meeting minutes and ensure all concerns are addressed
•Coordinate monthly Emergency Response Team rescue training
•Participate in JOHSEC safety inspections, audits, and Conuma's Health and Safety Committee
•Enter the data into safety date system(s)
•Analyze safety data and prepare and distribute month end reports
•Maintain records and documentation for health and safety programs and incident reports
•Assist the maintenance and creation of safety standards and supporting documents
•Produce new safety policies and procedures as required
Education, Experience & Qualifications
•High School Diploma or equivalent, additional certification in Health and Safety is advantageous
•Relevant certifications or diplomas in Occupational Health and Safety preferred
•2+ years in health and safety role, preferably in a mining or industrial environment
•Familiarity with safety data systems and reporting tools
Technical Competencies & Skills
•Must be able to work 12-hour day and night shifts; on a 7x7 rotation.
•Must be able to communicate in English.
•Proven safety and attendance record.
•Ability to remain calm and work effectively in emergent, high-stress situations.
•Demonstrate proficiency in data systems, Microsoft Office Suite, especially spreadsheets and databases.
•Excellent oral and written communication skills.
•Committed to high standards in health and safety performance.
•Demonstrated ability to act with integrity, good judgment, and discretion, with a strong emphasis on maintaining confidentiality.
•Self-starter with strong organizational skills, able to manage tasks independently.
•Ability to work independently and collaboratively with various teams
•Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
•Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with peers, trainees, and leadership.
•Ability and willingness to work in all weather conditions.
Wage and Benefits
Conuma Resources takes pride in providing industry-competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package that truly values our employees. Specifically for the Health and Safety Administrator role, we offer an annual base salary range of $96,000 - $120,000 along with a variety of bonuses, including a monthly efficiency bonuses based on safety and production targets, and quarterly retention bonuses. Our benefits package also includes paid vacation and personal days, 7% RRSP matching, and 100% employer-paid extended health and dental care, among other valuable perks!
