Safety Attendant – Contract

Location: Multiple Locations Pay: $16–$22 per hour (depending on experience) Schedule: 8-12 hour shifts, am or pm, varies based on jobs, 20 – 85 per week Employment Type: Contract / Project-Based (No Benefits)

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced and reliable Safety Attendants to support industrial operations in Multiple Locations Nationwide. The Safety Attendant plays a critical role in maintaining a safe work environment by monitoring permitted work activities and ensuring compliance with all safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor confined space entries, perform fire watch, and conduct breathing air (bottle watch) duties in accordance with permit requirements.

- Maintain accurate documentation, including:

- Entrant logs

- Air monitoring records

- Identified hazards within the assigned work area

- Continuously observe work activities and surrounding conditions to identify and report unsafe acts or conditions.

- Respond promptly to emergencies, including monitor alarms, medical incidents, or other safety concerns, and report incidents per site procedures.

- Communicate effectively with supervisors, workers, and safety personnel.

- Participate in required safety training and site orientations.

- Work safely in outdoor and industrial environments, including exposure to heat, cold, and inclement weather.

Qualifications & Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Valid TWIC card (required).

- Must be able to pass a DISA hair follicle drug screen.

- Previous experience as a Safety Attendant, Fire Watch, Confined Space Attendant, or similar industrial safety role preferred.

- Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.

- Ability to remain calm, focused, and professional during high-risk or emergency situations.

- Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

- Basic first aid and CPR knowledge is a plus.

- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

- Physically capable of standing for extended periods and working in industrial and outdoor conditions.

Additional Information

- This is contract work; no benefits are provided.

- Pay rate is based on experience and site requirements.
