POSITION SUMMARY:
The Roofing Foreman is responsible for leading and working alongside a roofing crew to execute residential roofing installations. This hands-on role requires a strong leader who ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The Foreman coordinates with project management, enforces safety, and oversees crew performance and job site activities from start to finish.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership & Crew Management
•Supervise roofing crews on job sites, providing hands-on guidance and support.
•Assign daily tasks and ensure efficient workflow and productivity.
•Mentor and train crew members to improve skills and ensure adherence to best practices.
•Conduct toolbox talks and enforces job site discipline and accountability.
Project Execution
•Perform roof installation, repairs, tear-offs, flashing, underlayment, shingle work, and final inspections.
•Interpret blueprints, job scopes, and manufacturer installation guidelines.
•Ensure work meets building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
•Identify and resolve job site issues or obstacles proactively.
Logistics & Coordination
•Coordinate daily scheduling, material delivery, and equipment needs with Project Managers.
•Track and report project progress, delays, material usage, and crew hours.
•Ensure all tools, equipment, and materials are accounted for and used properly.
Safety & Compliance
•Enforce OSHA and company safety protocols.
•Ensure use of proper PPE and fall protection.
•Complete incident reports, conduct job hazard analyses, and promote a culture of safety.
Quality Control
•Inspect in-progress and completed work for defects or issues.
•Ensure warranty requirements and manufacturer specifications are met.
•Maintain clean, organized, and secure job sites.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education &
Certifications:
•High School Diploma or GED equivalent
•Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Experience:
•3+ years of roofing experience; shingle systems preferred (residential or commercial)
•1+ year in a leadership or foreman capacity strongly preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
•Proficient in reading blueprints and project documentation.
•Strong verbal communication and coordination skills.
•Fast-paced, team-oriented job sites requiring flexibility and focus
•Knowledge of OSHA safety standards (OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred)
•Field-based role with daily physical labor and ladder work
•Must be comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions

•TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS (Employee is required to travel for business purposes, not including commute to and from work.)
If required to travel, must have a valid Driver's License/Insurance and the ability to drive a personal vehicle to different sites.
