The Electrical Foreman is responsible for overseeing all electrical work performed on the job site and managing the personnel responsible for executing this work. This role ensures that projects are completed safely, on time, and in alignment with quality standards and budget expectations.
Lead and coordinate daily electrical construction operations, including supervision of electricians, temporary labor, and subcontractors.
Ensure all work complies with safety standards, quality benchmarks, project schedules, and cost objectives.
Participate in project planning to promote safe, efficient, and effective execution of tasks.
Supervise equipment use and construction methods to optimize productivity and maintain safety.
Create and update three-week project schedules in alignment with master timelines.
Maintain detailed daily logs documenting labor hours, crew sizes, task progress, equipment utilization, material deliveries, and production output.
Monitor crew attendance, job performance, and workmanship quality.
Provide training and mentoring to electricians and apprentices to build skill and ensure job readiness.
Collaborate with project mechanical foremen and superintendents to coordinate interdisciplinary work.
Support field installation by operating tools, installing materials, and resolving site-level issues.
Facilitate clear and consistent communication between field crews and project management, engineering, and leadership personnel.
Oversee and support project closeout activities, including final inspections and documentation.
Ensure timely and accurate submission of safety, quality, and field documentation.
Set and maintain production benchmarks to ensure project milestones are met.
Monitor expenditures and ensure work stays within budget.
Report project status updates and field observations to the Electrical Superintendent or Assistant Electrical Superintendent.
Provide input on staffing decisions, including recommendations for hiring or termination.
Perform other duties as assigned.
This position is physically demanding and performed primarily outdoors. Work is conducted in varying weather conditions and terrains and often involves lifting, bending, climbing, and confined-space activity.
The role requires weekday availability and may include weekend assignments. Travel, overnight stays, and extended deployments to project sites—primarily located in the Southwestern United States—are required.

Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in electrical construction within commercial, industrial, or heavy civil sectors.
Solar electrical experience is highly preferred but not required.
Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and relevant local/national building codes.
Extensive experience with both aboveground and underground utility facilities.
Proven leadership experience in commercial construction settings.
High school diploma required; technical training or certification in a skilled trade is preferred.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, and technical drawings.
Strong leadership, communication, and reporting skills.
Sound mathematical reasoning and problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent physical condition and stamina; ability to lift 50 pounds.
Willingness and ability to travel at least 50% of the time for in-state and out-of-state assignments.
