Rock Retaining Wall Builder / Equipment Operator

Pay: $25–$35 per hour, depending on experience Job Type: Full-time Location: Salt Lake County area/ Cache County, Utah

We are looking for an experienced Rock Retaining Wall Builder / Equipment Operator to join our team. This position is for someone who knows how to work hard, operate equipment safely, and take pride in building high-quality rock retaining walls that are built to last.

The ideal candidate has experience operating equipment such as excavators, skid steers, loaders, or similar machinery and understands grading, digging, moving rock, setting boulders, and working safely on active job sites.

Responsibilities

Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently

Build and assist with rock retaining walls and other hardscape projects

Move, place, and position large rocks and materials

Assist with grading, excavation, prep work, and cleanup

Read the job site, follow direction, and work well with a crew

Perform basic equipment checks and keep equipment clean and cared for

Maintain a safe, organized, and professional job site

Qualifications

Experience operating heavy equipment is required

Experience with rock walls, retaining walls, excavation, grading, or hardscape work is highly preferred.

Must be dependable, hardworking, and show up on time

Ability to work outdoors in different weather conditions

Ability to lift, shovel, rake, and help with manual labor when needed

Must be able to work safely around equipment, crews, and customers’ properties

Valid driver’s license preferred
