Ettan opened in 2020 as the first of its kind Cal-Indian cuisine in a historic, beautifully designed downtown Palo Alto location by Michelin Starred Chef Srijith Gopinathan and restaurateur Ayesha Thapar and was recently named to the Top 100 Restaurants by the San Francisco Chronicle.
As part of the Cal-India Collective, including Eylan in Menlo Park and Copra ins San Francisco, Ettan has expanded its reach, services and offerings and as a result is looking for an experienced Private Dining and Events Manager who thrives in the art of detailed planning, is inspired by innovative food and drink, and intuitively anticipates guest and service needs.
· Building on our existing event and catering business by providing accurate, timely and thoughtful service to all guests when replying to inquiries and guiding them through the booking process
· Booking through Tripleseat to keep accurate records of inquiries and bookings and their status
· Produce detailed and accurate BEOs for BOH and FOH management and staff
· Work closely with BOH and FOH staff and management to ensure smooth event execution and adjust where necessary to increase efficiency
· Serve as the primary initial point of contact for events on site
· Find and leverage opportunities to increase private dining growth and revenue
· Create and send monthly guest newsletters based on current happenings and features at Ettan
· Manage Ettan phones for reservations and event inquiries during the day
· Restaurant experience as lead host, server or bartender in addition to event planning
· Banquet or catering planning or operations background
· Efficient with Word, Excel, Open Table and Tripleseat
