· Ability to maintain good public relations with principal, teachers, parents and students
· Knowledge of food and labor cost control
· Ability to follow directions and supervise staff members
· Lead the operation of the kitchen by delegating and dividing jobs fairly
· Assist workers in food preparation and other duties as needed
· Make work schedules for each employee and job duties
· Train employees in proper food preparation, service and use of equipment
· Order food and supplies using good inventory manage techniques
· Maintain good public relations with customer (i.e., principal, teachers, students and parents)
· Maintain Production Records according to State guidelines
· Maintain program's nutritional integrity through production of meals, which meet current nutritional standards and meal pattern requirements
· Attend in-service meetings and training sessions on food preparation
· Maintain orderly file system and input data into the computer
· Follow the policies and procedures for the Food Service Department
· Follow the menu and provide standardized recipes for kitchen employees
· Anything else instructed to do by all supervisors
