Residential Solar Installer & Electrician - Multiple openings

Solar Mite Solutions is expanding, and we are looking for dedicated professionals to help us power Mattoon and the surrounding communities with clean, renewable energy. We pride ourselves on quality craftsmanship and a safety-first culture.

We are currently seeking experienced Electricians and Roof Leads to join our installation crews. If you take pride in your work and want to be part of a growing industry with a stable, local company, we want to hear from you!

Available Positions1. Journeyman Electrician (Solar Specialist)

You will be the technical anchor of the installation team, ensuring all systems are wired to code and operating at peak efficiency.

- Key Responsibilities: Main panel upgrades, installing inverters, wiring disconnects, and managing system interconnections.

- Requirement: Deep understanding of NEC codes.

2. Solar Roof Lead

You will manage the "top-side" of the installation, leading a small team to ensure racking and modules are installed perfectly and the roof integrity is maintained.

- Key Responsibilities: Layout and installation of racking systems, flashing, module mounting, and wire management. Ensure that the crew is working safely and efficiently.

- Requirement: Previous experience in roofing or solar racking; comfortable working at heights and leading a crew.

Preferred Qualifications

- Residential Storage Experience: Experience with battery backup systems (e.g., Enphase, Powerwall) is a major plus.

- Strong focus on job site safety and OSHA compliance.

- Ability to read and interpret roof layouts, blueprints and electrical schematics.

- Excellent communication skills and a customer-first attitude.
