The Reservoir Technologist 2, working under general supervision, is responsible for providing technical support to the reservoir engineering team on reserves analysis and reserves bookings, well and reservoir performance analysis and forecasting, and project economic evaluations. The role analyzes internal and external data to support various performance analysis and evaluations and coordinates maintenance of technical databases and well record files. The role supports in development and updation of annual budget and periodic business performance projections, monitors and reports on key reservoir performance indicators and production trends, develops summary reports, and prepares presentations. The role contributes in analysis and reporting on business unit and underlying asset's performance and builds economic evaluations for reservoirs. The role demonstrates increasing independence in prioritizing, organizing, and completing reservoir engineering assignments, seeking guidance as needed for moderately complex problems and mentors less experienced employees in the reservoir engineering team.
- Provides technical support to the reservoir engineering team on reserves analysis and reserves bookings, well and reservoir performance analysis and forecasting, and project economic evaluations.
- Analyzes internal and external data to support various performance analysis and evaluations. Coordinates maintenance, updation, and organization of technical databases and well record files.
- Supports in development and updation of annual budget and periodic business performance projections to provide key insights to management and ensure alignment with strategic objectives and financial targets.
- Monitors and reports on key reservoir performance indicators and production trends, develops summary reports, and prepares charts and presentations. Researches public oil and gas records to analyze production and performance drivers.
- Contributes in analysis and reporting on business unit and underlying asset's performance, including assessment of operational metrics to evaluate effectiveness and efficiency of the business unit and its underlying assets and support strategic planning.
- Builds economic evaluations for reservoirs, including gathering reservoir data, reserves estimation, production forecasting, revenue and cost analysis, and sensitivity analysis.
- Implements modifications to routine reservoir engineering activities, performance analysis and reporting, possesses moderate proficiency in PEEP, Petra, Harmony, Spotfire, and Powertools, and actively participates in safety practices, taking initial steps toward continuous improvement of performance analysis and evaluations processes.
- Demonstrates increasing independence in prioritizing, organizing, and completing reservoir engineering assignments, seeking guidance as needed for moderately complex problems and mentors less experienced employees in the team.- Bachelor's Degree and/or commensurate work experience is required.
- 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in areas such as Reserves Analysis, Performance Analysis and Forecasting, Economic Evaluations or a related field. Industry experience is preferred.
