Job Description
The Reporting Analyst is responsible for supporting the development, maintenance, and optimization of Power BI reports and dashboards to meet the organization’s data and reporting needs. The incumbent will collaborate with various teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting and provide insights that support data-driven decision-making. This position will also support end users by troubleshooting report-related issues, maintaining report documentation, and offering guidance on report usage. In addition, this role may contribute to process automation and reporting standardization as part of ongoing digital transformation efforts.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to support business needs, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and alignment with organizational objectives
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into effective data visualizations and performance indicators
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Power BI reports, data connections, or logic inconsistencies to ensure continuous and reliable reporting
- Perform data analysis and validation to support business decisions and identify opportunities for operational improvement
- Maintain existing Power BI reports and datasets, making necessary updates based on changing business priorities or data structures
- Document report logic, data sources, KPIs, and key functionalities to ensure transparency and future maintainability of reporting assets
- Provide training and guidance to end users and internal teams on report navigation, functionality, and interpretation of key metrics
- Assist with data cleanup and transformation processes using Power Query to improve data quality and consistency
- Ensure report accessibility and performance optimization through best practices in data modeling, visual design, and interactivity (e.g., slicers, bookmarks)
- Support ad hoc reporting requests and contribute to developing standardized reporting templates as needed
Salary Range (Base): $73,000.00 - $103,000.00 - Based on knowledge, skills, and experience.
Qualifications Education and Work Experience:
- Post-secondary education in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Two (2) years of experience in a reporting, data analysis, or business intelligence role, with a focus on Power BI or similar reporting tools
- Experience working with Oracle ERP systems (e.g., Fusion), including data extraction via OTBI, BI Publisher, or direct queries is considered a strong asset
- Bilingualism is an asset
