As a Regional Sales Representative, you will be pivotal in expanding our presence in AB and BC, with occasional work in SK & MB to assist other territory as required. You will be working from our office in Calgary. This position requires about 30% travel time, including international travel to trade shows and visits to principal locations.
● Sales Growth and Client Management: Enhance sales in your territory through strategic direct sales calls and impactful presentations. Focus on nurturing relationships with both new and existing clients to foster sales growth.
● Project Identification and Lead Follow-up: Vigilantly identify potential projects and diligently follow up on leads from suppliers, ensuring no opportunity is missed.
● Comprehensive Company Representation: Act as the face of the company across various levels, encompassing on-site visits to plants, mills, mines, and corporate offices and participation in trade events, showcasing the company's commitment and expertise.
● In-depth Product Knowledge: Dedicate time to continuously learn and understand all product lines, ensuring a thorough ability to support sales and client queries effectively.
● Active Site Engagement: Conduct thorough site visits, equipped with necessary safety gear, demonstrating physical capability for demanding environments and tasks.
● Consistent Reporting and CRM Management: Maintain up-to-date records of all sales activities in the CRM system, including comprehensive trip summaries and regular monthly activity overviews.
● Reporting and Communication: Maintain detailed records of sales activities in CRM and provide regular summaries.
● Transportation: Must possess a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and passport for occasional international travel.
● Sales Expertise: Strong sales background is essential. Experience in related mechanical industries is beneficial but not mandatory.
● Physical Fitness: Capable of handling physically demanding site visits, including climbing stairs and occasional heavy lifting in various weather conditions.
● CRM Proficiency: Skilled in using CRM tools to record sales activities, including calls, emails, and trip summaries.
● Travel Readiness: Willingness for significant travel (about 30% of the time), including international trips to trade shows and principal locations.
● Communication Skills: Strong communication and relationship-building skills to effectively manage and nurture client relationships.
