We’re looking for a results-driven Regional Sales Manager
to lead growth in the utility market across the Southeast U.S. This role is ideal for a strong sales professional with experience in the wire & cable industry who can manage distributor and utility relationships, mentor independent sales representatives, and execute strategic sales plans. Candidates should ideally be based in
Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina, or South Carolina.
- Build and manage relationships with distributors and utility end users, including municipalities, cooperatives, investor-owned utilities, and EPC firms
- Guide independent sales representatives through joint calls, training, territory planning, and performance management
- Execute regional sales strategies aligned with utility market goals
- Manage sales pipelines, forecasts, and performance metrics
- Collaborate with inside sales, engineering, and supply chain teams to support quotes, proposals, and pricing
- Provide training on product features and competitive positioning
- Assist with quoting, inventory coordination, logistics, and value-added services
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and provide feedback to internal teams
- Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and customer meetings
- Utilize CRM tools (SAP Sales Cloud, C/4HANA, or SAP ERP CRM) for customer and pipeline management
- Oversee regional budgets, forecasts, and travel expenses
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related technical field
- 3–5+ years of sales experience in the wire & cable or utility product market- Proven experience selling to utilities, distributors, and EPC firms
- Experience managing and mentoring independent sales representatives
- Strong technical selling, negotiation, and channel management skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation abilities
- Experience using CRM systems (SAP Sales Cloud, SAP C/4HANA, or SAP ERP CRM) – proficiency not required, but prior use is expected
- Willingness to travel up to 50% across the Southeast U.S.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (Not required)
- Experience working with multi-year utility contracts and competitive bids
- Familiarity with distributor training, inventory planning, and technical product positioning
- Prior success representing a manufacturer at trade shows or industry conferences
- Based within the Southeast region, ideally in
FL, GA, AL, TN, NC, or SC
