Position Summary
Responsible for selection, training, development, and oversight of independent sales representatives in the custom HVAC/refrigeration and mechanical system markets. Ensure that the company obtains sales opportunities that fit its overall niche in the marketplace. Responsible for obtaining accurate and complete information about sales opportunities to allow internal departments to meet the customer’s needs.
Roles and Responsibilities
•Responsible for selection and development of independent sales representatives. Responsible for identifying and gaining access to potential business opportunities
•Train independent sales representatives on company products, differentiation strategies, markets and selling strategies
•Manage expectations and set quotas for independent sales representatives
•Monitor, oversee and ensure that good sales opportunities receive adequate attention and internal support
•Ensure internal departments receive adequate information from potential customers to allow them to correctly and accurately estimate and engineer products so that it meets customer requirements and specifications
•Coordinate with Inside Sales to ensure that jobs are kicked off internally with accurate information and complete details
•Communicate job details and customer expectations clearly and effectively to other departments
•Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a DEC in Building Systems Engineering Technology
Experience: Five (5) plus years of experience in custom engineered HVAC & Refrigeration sales as well as selling through independent rep network.
Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and ERP system
Certificates & Licenses: None required

•Ability to effectively present information publicly
•Ability to use appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to build relationships and gain acceptance of a product, service, or idea
•Ability to hold steadfast and complete a goal
•Willingness to take calculated risks in order to get sales
•Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task and relay them accurately
•Ability to make critical decisions while following company procedures
•Ability to take care of the customers’ needs while following company procedures
•Ability to communicate effectively with others verbally and in writing - English and French
