Zielies Tree Service Inc., a leader in Vegetation Management Services, is currently seeking a Regional Safety Manager. This position supports the development, implementation, and management of OHS policies and programs.
Primary Focus•Provides leadership, direction, and support in the development and execution of an effective safety culture and programs.
•Monitors safety compliance with our established Health and Safety Management System.
•Training and evaluation of best practices in Vegetation management Activities activity (Tree Trimming, Heavy Equipment Operation, Fleet Operation, etc.)
•Investigate and document incidents, injuries, and near misses.
•Ensure compliance with all company and client safety expectations and requirements. Including but not limited to, audits, inspections, safety meetings, JSA's, PPE, Work-zone Setup, etc.
•Provide Emergency Response Support and Guidance
•Provide oversite of regional DOT Department and Fleet Safety Requirements, including preventive maintenance, drug & alcohol program compliance, and FMCSA Safety Requirements.
Desired Skills
•Demonstrated ability to inspire, motivate and lead personnel in advancing the safety culture through an established Health and Safety Management System.
•3 years of progressively responsible experience in construction safety preferred.
•Certified Utility Safety Professional Credentials preferred
•Certified Tree care Safety Professional Credentials preferred.
•Degree, Diploma or certificate in Occupational Health & Safety preferred.
•Proven interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
•Well versed and comfortable on a computer.
•Proficient in Microsoft word and Excel.
•Bilingual in Spanish and English Preferred.
More About The Job
•This is a regional safety position that will split time 50/50 between the office and field. Much of the time in the field will be spent visiting various crews throughout the territory, completing safety inspections, and providing training and support as needed.
