Summary:
Under the supervision of the Director of Operations, the Regional Safety Manager will develop and implement safety programs, investigate incidents, and ensure compliance with safety regulations to create a safe work environment for all team members.
General Responsibilities
•Support the execution of safety audits across all divisions.
•Assist with risk identification, incident reporting, and investigations.
•Perform safety inspections and environmental assessments.
•Maintain documentation and perform general administrative duties.
•Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and project-related regulations.
•Participate in accident and incident investigations and assist with reporting.
•Support safety training programs and initiatives.
•Enforce adherence to federal, state, corporate, and site-specific safety protocols.
•Identify issues and suggest timely solutions.
•Manage and prioritize multiple concurrent tasks.
•Conduct monthly and quarterly inspections of safety tools and equipment.
•Effectively communicate safety topics to large groups.
•Foster a culture of safety and operational excellence.
Required Education & Experience
•At least 10 years of experience in the electric utility sector specifically in Underground Electrical Distribution (URD) and Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD).
•Minimum of 3 years in a safety-related role within the electric industry preferred, or a relevant combination of education and field experience in a construction environment.
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
•Strong written and verbal communication skills.
•OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications.
•In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and standards.
•Willingness to travel. Position will be based out of Fort Worth but will require travel to projects in other states
•Possess a valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
•OSHA 510 and OSHA 500 certifications.
•Degree in Risk Management or professional safety certification (e.g., CSP, CHST) preferred.
•Certified Instructor/Trainer credentials
