The Regional Operations Site Managers’ main purpose is to ensure that the business operates safely and effectively in support of our clients needs.
- Establish safety as our first core value and foster a safety-conscious work environment where all employees understand reporting options and are empowered to improve our safety culture.
- Establish a strong relationship with designated customer contacts by demonstrating transparency, integrity, and honesty in dealing with each assigned client
- Work with our engineering team and draw upon experience to develop strategy for improved maintenance, diagnostics and operation to provide additional customer value and reduce the cost of service
- Recognize occurrences of wind turbine error codes and appropriately report the problem to engineering colleagues
- Function as the single point of contact maintaining continuous client contact to build and strengthen our relationships
- Instill a culture of continuous improvement and set high standards and expectations for our field personnel
- Conduct periodic reviews of procedures and processes to identify improvement opportunities within the operation of the business
- Communicate with field personnel frequently to understand operational challenges and support requirements to help ensure successful execution of contracted work
- Understand all contracts associated with assigned clients
- Ensure that operational plans support execution of the contract and identified work scope
- Maintain proper care of all company assets and supervise the team to ensure proper care for trucks, tools, and calibration of those assets and other resources
- Facilitate daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reporting in accordance with operational, safety, regulatory compliance
- Ensure compliance with site environmental regulations pertaining to hazardous waste, oil spill prevention, avian studies, and wildlife conservation
- Additional duties as required
- Associates Degree, Bachelor’s Degree or Technical Certification in Wind Energy or related field
- Minimum 5 years in Wind Turbine installation, repair and diagnostic experience
- Ability and willingness to take initiative and work without direct supervision
- Strong teamwork and proactive communication skills
- Tower rescue, OSHA certification, GWO certification
- Financial and contractual understanding
- Familiarity with various hand, power and hydraulic tools
- Proficient use of Microsoft applications, One Drive, SCADA reporting
