Foran Mining Corporation (TSX:FOM) is a forward-thinking mining company redefining the industry. We are seeking a Temporary Recruiter to join our growing McIlvenna Bay team. This is a full-time position working remotely on a 4 to 6-month contract.
Foran Mining is a modern mining development and exploration company advancing Canada's only greenfield copper project currently under construction: the McIlvenna Bay deposit in Saskatchewan. As part of the Human Resources team, this recruiter plays a critical part in ensuring a smooth and efficient hiring process, from job requisition through to onboarding. The ideal candidate is experienced in sourcing and screening candidates, coordinating with hiring managers, and navigating applicant tracking systems with ease. You will be expected to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and provide a positive experience for every candidate. This role requires an understanding of the unique demands of the mining industry in Northern Saskatchewan, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a passion for building high-performance teams.
Job Responsibilities:
•Lead full-cycle recruitment from requisition to onboarding across multiple roles
•Partner with hiring managers to define needs, update job descriptions, and plan recruitment strategies
•Post jobs across platforms and manage applicant flow using ADP
•Source candidates through job boards, social media, events, and networks
•Screen resumes, conduct pre-screening calls, and coordinate assessments as needed
•Conduct structured interviews and guide hiring managers in consistent evaluation
•Schedule interviews, communicate with candidates, and ensure interviewer readiness
•Manage candidate movement and records in ADP, ensuring accuracy and compliance
•Extend verbal offers; coordinate references, medicals, and background checks
•Draft and process employment agreements and Total Rewards Statements
•Ensure a positive candidate experience through timely communication and feedback
•Support onboarding by coordinating handover and ensuring all pre-start tasks are complete
•Provide recruitment updates to HR and hiring managers; suggest process improvements
•Work independently, prioritize effectively, and align with team goals and timelines.
Job Qualifications and Skills:
•Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field
•Minimum 3 years of recruitment or talent acquisition experience, preferably in the Canadian mining industry
•Strong understanding of mining operations and workforce needs
•Proficient with HRIS and ATS platforms; ADP experience preferred
•Skilled in HR administration and people management
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to represent company values professionally
•Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage sensitive conversations and resolve conflicts
•Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities
•Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
•Solid knowledge of Canadian employment laws and regulations
•Familiar with recruitment best practices, industry trends, and HR technologies
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive starting salary range of $65,000 - $75,000/year based on experience and qualifications.
