Summary
The Recruiter is responsible for ensuring our shops and offices are staffed with the right people, in the right roles, on time. This role manages full-cycle recruiting for hourly and skilled labor positions, coordinates staffing agency partnerships, and monitors workforce risks to prevent staffing gaps.
Key accountabilities include reducing time-to-fill, improving candidate quality, and maintaining a steady pipeline of talent to meet operational demands.
Responsibilities
•Manage full-cycle recruitment for general labor, skilled trades, and other hourly roles.
•Screen applications, conduct interviews, and coordinate with hiring managers for selection
•Manage relationships with external staffing agencies, ensuring accountability for quality, speed, and cost
•Source candidates using community networks, social media, referrals, and direct outreach
•Build and maintain relationships with trade schools, workforce development programs, and local government agencies to develop ongoing talent pipelines and promote the company as an employer of choice in the community.
•Represent the company at job fairs, technical school events, and other recruiting functions
•Maintain accurate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and generate weekly recruiting reports
•Partner with Leadership to forecast labor needs and adjust hiring strategies accordingly
•Track and report on new hire retention rates and other KPIs
•Support onboarding processes to ensure a smooth transition from offer to day one
Qualifications
•Minimum 2 years of high-volume recruiting experience (staffing agency or similar industrial recruiting strongly preferred)
•Prior experience recruiting for general labor, light/heavy industrial, or skilled trades roles
•Experience managing staffing agency partnerships
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
•Bilingual (Spanish/English) highly preferred
•Proficient in Windows 11, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
•Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now
•Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
