Position Summary

Piping Technology & Products is seeking a Shop Recruiter to support hiring for our manufacturing and production teams. This role focuses on recruiting skilled and entry-level shop employees including welders, machinists, inspectors, assemblers, and other manufacturing personnel.

The Shop Recruiter will manage the full recruitment process for hourly shop positions, including sourcing candidates, screening applicants, coordinating interviews with supervisors, and ensuring a smooth hiring and onboarding process. This position works closely with shop leadership and HR to ensure staffing needs are met quickly while maintaining a strong candidate experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the full-cycle recruiting process for hourly shop and manufacturing positions

- Source candidates through job boards, referrals, local workforce programs, and community outreach

- Screen resumes and conduct initial phone or in-person interviews

- Coordinate interviews with supervisors and department managers

- Maintain active job postings in Paylocity and other recruiting platforms

- Track candidate pipelines and provide regular hiring updates to leadership

- Support high-volume hiring initiatives for production teams

- Partner with supervisors to understand staffing needs, skill requirements, and shift coverage

- Assist with scheduling pre-employment screenings such as background checks and drug tests

- Support new hire onboarding and ensure required documentation is completed

- Attend job fairs, workforce events, and community recruiting opportunities

- Maintain accurate recruiting data and reporting within the HR system

- Help develop recruiting strategies to attract skilled manufacturing talent


Requirements

- 2+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in manufacturing, skilled trades, or high-volume environments

- Experience recruiting hourly or production employees strongly preferred

- Strong organizational and communication skills

- Ability to manage multiple open positions simultaneously

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

- Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS); Paylocity experience is a plus

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace

- Ability to build strong relationships with supervisors and hiring managers


Preferred Qualifications

- Experience recruiting welders, machinists, inspectors, or other skilled trades Familiarity with manufacturing workforce trends and local labor markets Experience attending job fairs or building community recruiting partnerships

Work Environment

This position is primarily office-based but requires regular interaction with shop supervisors and occasional time spent in the production environment.
