Position Overview
The Receiving / Central Stores Clerk is responsible for supporting daily receiving, inventory control, and material distribution activities at the Sauget facility. This role ensures materials and parts are accurately received, stored, tracked, and delivered to internal customers, primarily supporting maintenance and operations.
Receiving and Inventory
Receive incoming materials against purchase orders in Microsoft Dynamics AX.
Verify deliveries for accuracy and completeness and collect required documentation from drivers.
Coordinate forklift unloading of trucks as needed.
Put parts away in designated storage locations and maintain organized inventory.
Monitor stock levels and notify Purchasing when items need to be reordered.
Enter purchasing requisitions and email vendors for quotes.
Occasionally create and enter new part numbers into Microsoft Dynamics AX.
Internal Coordination
Notify internal customers when ordered parts arrive and deliver materials as required.
Work closely with Maintenance and other departments to ensure timely access to parts.
Physical and Operational Requirements
Perform physical tasks including lifting, carrying heavy items, climbing stairs, and operating a golf cart.
Be present on the last day of the month and the first day of the month unless those days fall on a weekend.
Other Duties as Assigned
Support additional receiving and storeroom activities as needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Basic computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to walk up and down stairs while carrying heavy items.
Prior experience in receiving, inventory, warehouse, or storeroom operations preferred.
Training and Ramp-Up
Typical ramp-up period is approximately 90 days.
On-the-job training provided.
Work Conditions
Schedule: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM Location: Sauget, IllinoisWork environment includes exposure to hot and cold conditions depending on season.
Position requires heavy lifting and frequent stair use while carrying materials.
