Receiving and Shipping Manager

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shipping and Receiving Manager to oversee our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the Shipping and receiving department, ensuring efficient processes, and maintaining high standards of inventory management. This position requires strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of warehouse management systems and logistics.

Responsibilities:

- Manage the Shipping and receiving to ensure timely and accurate processing of incoming and outgoing shipments.

- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce errors in Shipping and receiving operations.

- Oversee materials handling procedures to ensure safe and effective movement of goods within the warehouse.

- Maintain accurate inventory records, conducting regular audits to ensure data integrity.

- Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and improve overall supply chain performance.

- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies within the Shipping and receiving area.

Experience

- Proven experience in warehouse management or as a warehouse supervisor, with a focus on receiving operations.

- Strong knowledge of inventory management practices and materials handling techniques.

- Experience with logistics coordination and process improvement initiatives.

- Familiarity with operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment such as 5 ton and 10 ton Cranes is REQUIRED.

- Previous Forklift Certification Preferred and will retrain and certify

- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse workforce.

- Proficient in using warehouse management systems

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
