Job Title: Quality Technician 3rd Shift with Shift Differential
Summary: This position is responsible for inspecting materials and products such as value-add assemblies, sheet metal, fans and PC boards for conformance specifications.
Essential Functions of the Job: The essential functions of this job require the person, with or without reasonable accommodation, to perform the following:
•Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness when comparing product against sample model or parts list to ensure completion of assembly.
•Verify specified dimensions of product or material per assembly work instructions, product quality checklist (PQC) and product specific CAD. Use of various measurement tools (micrometer, caliper and ruler) required when inspecting value added products.
•Process nonconforming assemblies, material or products based on inspection requirements and documents. Label defective parts as required per ebm Nonconforming Material Policy.
•Use the following software when performing this job: MAC-PAC (AS400), VKS Work Instruction Database, Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Access.
•Occasionally, they may lift or move up to 50 pounds when performing inspection. Must request and get assistance with heavier weights.
•Perform all other duties as required or when assigned, including performing layer process audits, in process production audits, inspection and sorting of nonconforming product in WIP or inventory and verify rework of nonconforming product is completed as required.
•Perform data entry into the MRB database, receiving inspection log and AS400, pull test and Hypot log, inspection database and nonconforming products into the Rework/Deviation database.
•Generate various inspection documents used for various value add production tasks and assemblies including Product Quality Checklists (PQCs), adding PQCs to the VKS database, maintaining daily inspection log and reviewing of value-add production work instructions as required.
•Communicate and work with engineering team as required to resolve production assembly issues directly related to values add assemblies and processes.
Recommended Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or Equivalent; or minimum 6 months related experience.
Excellent computer and communication skills.
