This position is responsible for conducting testing procedures during manufacturing processes to ensure that products comply with quality standards. They are involved in every phase of production.
· Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from vendors and outgoing products for shipping
· Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations
· Read blueprints, plans, and specifications to understand the requirements of products and services
· Measure product dimensions, examine functionality and compare the final product to the specifications
· Recommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality control
· Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records
· Teach the production team about quality control concerns to improve product excellence
· Supervise the production process and ensure that production lines are up to standard to achieve maximum efficiency
· Collect, analyze, and summarize statistical quality data for improvement purposes
· Ensure safety regulations and industry standards are met to maintain an optimal working environment
· Proven experience as a Quality Technician, Quality Control Inspector or similar role
· Thorough knowledge of methodologies of quality assurance and standards
· Excellent numerical skills and understanding of data analysis/statistical methods
· Good knowledge of MS office and databases
· Great attention to detail and a result-driven approach
· Certification of quality control is a strong advantage (ISO 9001, etc)
· Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing in English
· 1 year of applicable quality experience preferred
This position spends approximately 80% of the time on the production floor and 20% of the time in the office. This position requires frequent walking and standing; occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
