Key Contributions:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
•Accurately perform and document quality inspections of pressure vessels and other types of related process equipment
•Ensure that products conform to the applicable drawings, codes, and specifications
•Actively participate in continuous improvement efforts
•Ensure all WIP processes comply with ASME code and QMS requirements
•Verify the accuracy of measurement equipment
•Accurately follow and record Inspection Test Plan data
•Professionally assist NDE Technicians, Authorized Inspectors, and TPIs
•Assist in creating and assembling Job Books and organizing the MTR’s and drawings
•Perform NDE when required
•Create U-1A forms in an EDT system
•Verify incoming products received meet dimensional and material requirements
•Assist in implementing ISO 9000, internal auditing, and other process initiatives
•Organize and clean all work areas and assist with 5S activities
•Direct restocking of products/chemicals used in NDE processes
•Prepare written requests for contracted NDE, identify welds for technicians
•Organization of RT film, repair documents, and tracking of defects
•Prepared in advance for scheduled meetings and training sessions

Requirements:
•Minimum 5 years of previous pressure vessel inspection experience in a heavy manufacturing environment is required.
•Minimum 2 years in a related technical program may apply to the experience requirement.
•The ability to proficiently use precision measurement tools and gages, including paint inspection tools, is required. The ability to perform layout and fitting inspections to blueprints and P&ID’s is required.
•The ability to calculate arc lengths and angles for layout of cylindrical vessels is required.
•NDE Certifications (SNT-TC-1A): VT Level II or AWS CWI, MT Level II, PT Level II, RT Level II are preferred but Class appropriate.
•Knowledge of ASME and ANSI Codes is a must.
•Proficiency with computer applications, including Quality applications, MS Office applications, and ERP systems or their derivatives is strongly preferred but not required.
•Experience in an ISO 9000 environment is strongly preferred but not required.
•Reliable and punctual attendance is required.
