Quality Engineer

Mueller Forgings Co., renowned leaders in precision engineering, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. Mueller Brass Forgings Co. continues to innovate, serving diverse markets with unmatched expertise. In addition to brass forgings, we forge various non-ferrous metals such as copper, bronze, and aluminum, providing a broad range of material solutions to meet our customers’ specific needs.

As a Quality Engineer you will use analytical, engineering and quality control methodologies to test and inspect products and processes, as well as develop and implement quality improvement strategies and systems.

Duties and responsibilities include:

· Analyzing product specifications and customer requirements

· Developing and implementing quality control systems and checks

· Conducting audits to verify compliance with quality standards

· Identifying and setting quality assurance benchmarks

· Performing routine inspection and testing of products and processes

· Collaborating with product development teams to ensure quality is maintained throughout the production process

· Investigating and addressing customer complaints regarding quality

· Identifying areas for quality improvement and proposing solutions

· Documenting quality assurance activities and creating reports for management

· Ensuring compliance with legal, industry, and organizational standards and regulations

· Initiating and leading quality improvement projects and teams

Qualifications:

· Proven work experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer, Quality Assurance Tester, or similar role

· AS9100 and NADCAP experience is a plus

· Experience in project management and QA methodology

· Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus

· Ability to document and troubleshoot errors

· Working knowledge of test management software and SQL

· Excellent communication skills

· Attention to detail

· Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude

· Strong organizational skills

· BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
