The Quality Engineer is responsible for performing a variety of inspections and tests to ensure products meet established quality standards. This includes conducting electrical inspections, paint inspections, assembly inspections and other related quality checks. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, with strong skills in tracking, recording, and filing inspection reports, non-conformities, and other related items. Must have a keen eye for detail and strong visual awareness. Experience in a similar quality control environment is preferred with 2+ years of experience.
· Conduct electrical, paint, and assembly inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
· Track and document non-conformities and initiate corrective actions when necessary.
· Maintain accurate records of non-conformities, inspection reports, and other quality related items.
· Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and improve processes.
· Perform visual inspections and use measurement tools to verify product dimensions and tolerances.
· Assist in the preparation of quality reports and documentation.
· Participate in quality audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
· Write work instructions for work to be performed in production.
· Bachelor's degree; or equivalent years' of experience
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality inspection or a related field.
· Strong attention to detail and visual awareness.
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
· Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
· Knowledge of quality management systems and familiarity with industry standards.
· Familiarity with paint inspection techniques and standards.
· Knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.
· Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
· Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.
