Quality Engineer

About This Job

Regular presence is required in production facilities. The employee may occasionally be exposed to fumes, airborne particulate matter, toxic or caustic chemicals, and/or potential radiation hazards.

Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for oneself and all stakeholders by proactively identifying and mitigating potential hazards.

Develop and implement standardized work practices, procedures, and methods to minimize process variation and ensure process stability and sufficient capacity.

Identify, analyze, and resolve manufacturing process issues using appropriate engineering and problem-solving methodologies.

Drive continuous improvement by implementing sustainable changes to work practices, procedures, and methods, leading to enhanced productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.

Conduct equipment utilization and capability studies to support capacity planning and process optimization.

Perform production trials and testing to validate the adequacy of operational controls and process performance.

Deliver training on Statistical Process Control (SPC) fundamentals to production personnel, fostering data-driven decision-making.

Apply core engineering principles to provide technical support to internal teams and customers as required.

Investigate customer complaints by tracing issues to the originating work center and conducting thorough root cause analyses.

Lead corrective and preventive action initiatives in collaboration with internal teams and through on-site customer engagement when necessary.

Conduct internal process audits to evaluate system effectiveness and ensure compliance with customer requirements and industry standards.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned in support of departmental and organizational goals.

Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to effectively guide teams and drive results.

Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills with a proven ability to plan and manage work efficiently.

Strategic business acumen with a strong customer-centric approach.

Proficient in data analysis and charting to support decision-making and performance tracking.

Skilled in the use of statistical tools and Root Cause Analysis methodologies, or equivalent problem-solving techniques.

Proficient with personal computers and commonly used software applications.

Solid understanding of end-to-end process flow, from receipt of customer inquiry through to final shipment.
