Yatai Fabrication Solutions Inc. is a forward-thinking manufacturing enterprise established in 2023, specializing in the production of steel structural components for solar tracking systems.
We are seeking a Quality Control Associate to join our dynamic team at Yatai Fabrication Solutions Inc. This role is crucial in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards.
· Perform hourly inspections of product appearance and dimensions.
· Conduct visual and physical inspections on welded tubes, including weld quality and zinc coating thickness, using proper measurement tools.
· Verify that all inspections are conducted according to Standard Inspection Procedures (SIP) and ensure QC inspectors follow correct protocols.
· Accurately maintain inspection records and archive daily documentation in the inspection measurement room.
· Enforce 5S practices within the QC area to ensure cleanliness, tool organization, and a safe work environment.
· Identify and label non-conforming products immediately; follow up with the appropriate corrective actions.
· Report major quality issues promptly and coordinate with production to halt operations if necessary.
· Re-inspect products after corrections to ensure issues are fully resolved before resuming production.
· Conduct random audits to ensure inspection consistency and process control.
· Work closely with production, engineering, and quality departments to resolve quality-related concerns.
· High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical training or certification in quality or manufacturing is preferred.
· Prior experience in a quality control or inspection role within a manufacturing environment, particularly involving welded products.
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, SOPs, and inspection standards.
· Skilled in using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
· Strong attention to detail, documentation skills, and ability to identify product defects.
· Basic knowledge of 5S and lean manufacturing principles.
· Bilingual in English and Spanish is required – must be able to read, write, and communicate in both languages to coordinate with a diverse workforce.
· Must be able to use personal protective equipment (PPE).
· Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
