We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Quality Control (QC) Manager to oversee all quality control activities for a large-scale waste water treatment plant construction project. The QC Manager will be responsible for implementing and managing the project's quality control plan, ensuring all construction practices, materials, and workmanship meet contractual specifications, applicable codes, regulatory standards, and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
•Develop, implement, and maintain the project-specific Quality Control Plan (QCP) in accordance with contract requirements and regulatory standards.
•Supervise and coordinate daily quality control activities on-site, including inspections, testing, and documentation.
•Review and approve all submittals, material certifications, and shop drawings for compliance with specifications.
•Conduct preparatory meetings and follow-up inspections with subcontractors to ensure understanding and compliance with quality standards.
•Interface with the project team, client representatives, engineers, and inspectors to resolve quality issues and prevent non-conformances.
•Maintain accurate and detailed QC documentation, including inspection reports, test results, and NCR (Non-Conformance Reports).
•Ensure all construction materials and work processes adhere to environmental and health/safety regulations.
•Manage third-party testing services and ensure timely delivery of test results.
•Lead root cause analyses and corrective/preventive actions in response to quality issues.
•Provide regular quality performance reports to senior management and stakeholders.
•Train site personnel and subcontractors on quality control procedures and best practices.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
•Minimum of 7–10 years of quality control experience in heavy civil construction, with at least 3 years in water treatment or industrial utility projects.
•Strong knowledge of water treatment plant construction processes, materials, and standards (e.g., AWWA, ANSI, ASTM, EPA).
•Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulatory requirements for water infrastructure projects.
•Certification in Quality Management (e.g., CQM-C, ASQ-CQE) preferred.
•Proficient in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
•Strong leadership, communication, and documentation skills.
•Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
•OSHA 30-Hour Certification or equivalent safety training.
