Job Title: Quality Control Manager
Job Description:
The QC Manager is responsible for performing a wide variety of responsibilities related to assessing in-process and final product quality. This position is responsible for management of all aspects of the quality department and general inspection functions, both visual and mechanical; including accurately and properly using mechanical measuring devices and reporting such results as required by procedure, customer specifications, and ISO standards.
Job responsibilities:
•Responsible for performing incoming, in-process, 1st article and final inspections, related to mechanical parts and assemblies
•Schedule equipment calibration and maintain calibration records
•Create and Maintain Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMR)
•Responsible for verification of Certificates of Compliance, inspection reports, test certifications, process certs
•Lead and mentor the Quality Team
•Provide support in the inspection of raw material received
•Assist with quality related tasks such as internal and external audits, process validations activities, quality information systems, process control and monitoring systems, maintaining and improving quality control and testing techniques and equipment
•Operate various inspection equipment
•Work closely with other departments, customers, and vendors to ensure proper flow of production is met within area and to resolve machining or quality problems
•Responsible for all daily activities of the department
•Ensure compliance with ISO and AS9100 standards
•Responsible for promoting quality mind set in all plant employees
•Answer questions regarding inspection techniques
•Improve the company’s processes for inspecting materials and finished parts for compliance with drawings and specifications
•Maintains work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
•May train other employees
•Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
•US work authorization (required)
•High school diploma or equivalent, 3-5 years’ experience in related position, or a sufficient combination of the two Proficient in the English language (speak, read and write)
•Proficient in basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
•Working knowledge of ERP systems
•Ability to read drawings as required; Knowledge of sampling, GD & T, inspecting or testing methods
•Ability to use measuring devices such as calipers, indicators, height gages, thread gauges, micrometers, comparators, etc.
•Ability to record and maintain accurate clear records of data recorded during inspection activities.
•Ability to perform basic math calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, basic trigonometry & geometry)
•Knowledge of CMM preferred (Calypso)
•Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems & ITAR
•A genuine belief in continuous improvement and disciplined processes and a willingness to analyze, challenge and refine processes, if needed, to create a more efficient environment and culture
•Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
•Excellent organizational and time management skills

Compensation commensurate with experience
Full-time Schedule: 8 hour shift Day shift: Monday to Friday
