Overview of Quality Control Lead at Marquis

Leads the QC team to ensure products meet quality standards through inspections, testing, and process oversight. Manages documentation, reporting, and compliance, supports audits, and drives continuous improvement via root cause analysis and corrective actions. Trains staff, tracks performance metrics, and enforces quality procedures in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with proficiency in basic computer applications.

Some of the key responsibilities of the Quality Control Lead

- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the quality control team across all shifts.

- Provide daily work direction, schedule QC inspectors and assign tasks based on production priorities and workflow needs.

- Train and mentor quality inspectors and production staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.

- Lead quality meetings and communicate quality expectations and performance metrics to the team.

- Perform administrative QC functions, including document control, report tracking, record retention, and compliance reporting.

- Review, approve, and file inspection reports, nonconformance reports (NCRs), and corrective action records.

- Maintain and update quality documentation, SOPs, work instructions, and forms.

- Enter and analyze quality data in internal systems and prepare reports, dashboards, and summaries for management.

- Track quality metrics and prepare weekly/monthly quality performance summaries.

- Coordinate equipment calibration schedules and maintain calibration records.

- Prepare documentation and support internal and external audits (ISO, customer, and supplier audits).

Qualifications of the Quality Control Lead

- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the quality control team across all shifts.

- High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred (Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field).

- Minimum of 1 year experience in a Lead or Supervisory role required.

- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

- Ability to work second shift.
