Under limited supervision, the Quality Control Specialist conducts testing hourly to confirm the quality and size of aggregate products for sale. Must be knowledgeable of aggregate products and testing.
- Maintain a friendly atmosphere and communicate clearly with coworkers and management.
- Ability to carry out simple oral and written instructions and deal with problems.
- Ability to perform computer functions and operate computer software including excel spreadsheets, emails (Outlook) and Word documents for reporting testing results.
- Work under fast-paced and quickly changing conditions.
- Experience in data entry.
- Basic mathematical skills, including fractions and common units of measurements.
- Ability to read English sufficiently to be able to understand information contained in manuals, regulations, and reports, including Safety issues and related matters.
- Ability to speak English and communicate with others via a two-way radio.
- High level of attentiveness and physical coordination to operate scales, shaker, oven and maryann equipment for testing.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Maintain a clean workstation.
- Strong attention to details and keen observation skills.
- Environment: Construction Field environment
- Physical: Sufficient physical ability necessary to lift and carry 50+ pounds, sitting, standing and walking for prolonged periods of time and operating motorized vehicles.- Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction; vision sufficient to read computer and testing equipment screens, and printed documents.
- Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
