As a Quality Control Inspector, you will perform all necessary quality inspection activities to ensure raw materials, WIP, and finished products meet applicable quality and compliance standards.
- Perform inspection activities utilizing various tools, tests, gauges, or other resources on designated materials, parts and products, ensuring compliance to approved quality specifications.
- Performs chemistry testing on pH levels of production waste water and discharge drains to ensure the levels are in compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Maintains log sheets and other documentation ensuring these tests are performed accurately and timely.
- Collaborates with team leaders on in-process or final product quality deviations ensuring these are reported, investigated, and reviewed for effective, timely resolutions. Segregate non-conforming materials as needed.
- Performs finished product dock audits and behavior-based safety audits to ensure quality and safety goals are met.
- Provides recommendations on process/procedure improvements or correction opportunities to improve overall quality and efficiencies.
- Participates in and possibly leads Lean improvement initiatives and Kaizen events to drive continuous improvements of the quality control systems.
- Education: High School Diploma required.
- Experience: 2-3+ years of quality inspection experience within a manufacturing setting. Experience within a LEAN Six-Sigma environment is also helpful.- Certifications: N/A
- Functional Skills: High attention to detail with the ability to perform detailed work requiring manual dexterity; strong knowledge and experience with specifications, drawings, processes, work instructions and documentation to ensure compliance goals are met. Ability to operate quality control equipment or tools (ie: tape measure, calipers, micrometers, length gauges, comparators) is also needed for this role. Prior experience with RCCA (root cause corrective action) and 5-Why's is also helpful.
- Technology Skills: Prior Experience with computers and software tools MS Word, Excel, Outlook - required. Statistical knowleged a plus.
- Language Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Leadership/Behaviors: Strong attention to quality and compliance, honest, results-driven individual with the demonstrated ability to be consistent and logical in carrying out tasks, who can complete projects and meet deadlines.

Typical Work Week: M-F; some weekends & OT required (when applicable); 45 hours a week on average
