TELYON is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Manager (QCM) to join our team. The QC Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance and quality control processes to ensure the successful completion of solar projects to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering top-quality work.
- Implementation of the three-phase control system for all definable features of work. The definable features of work are listed at the end of this section of the design specifications.
- Ensure that all in-place work meets or exceeds all minimum standards set forth in the plans and specifications.
- Detect discrepancies or problems on-site and immediately bring the same to the attention of the Client.
- Submit weekly QC report detailing all QC activities to accompany the weekly status report. This weekly QC report shall include details of all QC inspections and resolution, or proposed resolution, of any issues found that do not comply with QC requirements. This report shall be in addition to the weekly status report. Updated QC reports shall be submitted to the Client on a weekly basis by Monday, noon (noon at the project site.)
- Interface with the Client and outside agencies as required.
- Each craftsman will be charged with the responsibility of performing his or her work in a workmanlike manner and continually striving for the highest degree of quality.
- Only craftsman who exhibit an ability to perform and desire to achieve quality will be employed and retained.
- The QCM will routinely and continually inspect the work for compliance with the contract documents. Duties of the QCM, as outlined above, are for the purpose of maintaining and documenting the work as required to achieve a high degree of quality.
- After completion of all work, the QCM will conduct a completion inspection of all work features and activities.
- A punch list will be developed to identify all items which are not in compliance with the specifications and drawings.
- The QCM will establish a date by which each deficiency will be corrected and note such date on the punch list.
- A follow-up inspection will be conducted to verify completion of all punch list items.
- The completion inspection and any resulting corrective action will be accomplished within the contract performance period. The Client construction manager and project manager will be notified upon completion of the punch list and corrective work. The punch list will be made
part of the quality control documentation by attachment to the weekly status report furnished to the Client.
- Formal training in Quality Control (QC) or relevant experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in a quality assurance/quality control role, preferably in the construction or renewable energy industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and techniques, with an understanding of solar photovoltaic systems.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
