Quality Control Inspector

Job Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our Pacific team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role ensuring that our steel meets the highest quality standards and complies with industry regulations. This position requires a strong understanding of quality assurance, as well as the ability to perform inspections effectively. This is a hands-on role and requires physical movement.

Schedule is Monday - Thursday. 6:15am - 5pm with 45 Min. lunch. 3 days off

Schedule is Thursday - Sunday. 4am - 3pm with 1 hour lunch. 3 days off

Duties

- Conduct thorough inspections of incoming finished steel and ensure compliance with specifications and standards.

- Utilize various quality inspection tools and techniques, tape measures, including visual inspection, to assess product quality.

- Collaborate with production teams to identify quality issues and recommend corrective actions.

- On sight training for all equipment and duties

- Forklift

- Overhead cranes

- Truck loading

- Rail cars

- Maintenance

Experience

- Ability to seek understanding of quality systems and processes.

- Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
