The Quality Assurance (QA) Technician ensures manufacturing processes, assemblies, and components consistently meet quality and safety standards. The role performs in-process audits, quality incident investigations, and component inspections/measurements to prevent defects and support continuous improvement. The QA Technician partners closely with production teams to provide hands-on troubleshooting, technical coaching, and the coordination of corrective and preventive actions. continuous improvement support.

- Performs in-process inspections and audits to verify compliance with work instructions, manufacturing standards, and defined quality requirements.
- Troubleshoots and investigates root causes of malfunctions, failures and defects in production, and collaborates with the team on planning and executing CAPA (corrective actions, preventive actions).
- Performs inspection, measurement, segregation, and containment of non-conforming material and parts.
- Supports and maintains the Quality Incident Reporting (QIR) process by initiating QIR’s, ensuring accurate data entry, performing information gathering, and tracking corrective/preventive actions.
- Coaches production team on quality criteria, methods, and process to ensure product quality.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working with heavy equipment (hydrovac preferred) and/or quality assurance.
- Working knowledge of inspection principles, theories, concepts, and practice.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills; flexible and collaborative team player.
- The role requires mobility within work environments including plant areas, use of office and inspection equipment, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, clear vision and hearing to perform tasks safely, effective communication skills, and occasional travel for meetings and training sessions.
