Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, career-minded, Quality Associate to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of products meets the required standards through meticulous testing and analysis.
Reports to: Quality Engineer(QE)
Responsibilities:
Primary Function: Maintains quality standards by auditing incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products; recording quality results.
-Audit product quality requirements in accordance with the company quality assurance policies and customer specifications.
-Perform visual and dimensional inspections of in-process and finished components:
•a. Conduct various tests and quality checks on finished products. Ensure that all tested products fall within standards, measured to specifications and within tolerances, readability of labels, etc.
•b. Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
•c. Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.
•d. Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.
-Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures. Organizes work and storage areas for efficient workflow. Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations
•Success is this position will lead to opportunities for forward growth in the Quality and/or Manufacturing Departments after a 90 day Probationary period.
Skills:
- Proficiency in quality assurance and quality control methodologies
- Experience with coordinate measuring machines and precision measuring instruments
-Strong knowledge of quality management principles
- Ability to conduct thorough quality inspections using vision inspection systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
-Strong math skills
We are looking for :
•3 candidates - Dayturn - 7AM-3PM
•2 candidates - Afternoon turn - 3PM-11PM with the caveat of a training period which would be 7AM-3PM.
This will be a 40 hour+ work week
There will be a math assessment given to the prospective candidate where you will need to show basic math skills.
Physical requirements, including, but not limited to:
•Positions self to install equipment, including under desks
•Must be able to remain in a stationary position during the shift
•Moves equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
•Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy environment
•Must be able to adhere to and apply established processed protocols in a timely manner
