QA Tester

About Us

Accuenergy is a Toronto-based company dedicated to research, design and manufacturing of multifunction power meters and other instruments. We also provide advanced technological solutions for distribution and industrial power system automation.

Responsibilities

- Work closely with RD team to create test plans, write test script, conducts verification tests, and document test results.

- Set up and maintain different test environments.

- Execute regression tests, automated tests, manual tests, integrated tests.

- Work with application engineers to duplicate and demonstrate issues.

- Analyze, document, and publish test results.

- Follows established development guidelines and standards and makes recommendations for improvements.

- Ensure Occupational Health and Safety compliance with health and safety laws and regulations.

- Follow all procedures in compliance of Accuenergy (Canada) Inc standard policy and operation regulations.

- Any other operation-related responsibilities may be added as company continues to grow.

Requirements

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent

- 1+ years hands-on experience in Embedded software QA or development environment.

- Experience to use of standard test equipment such as signal generators and oscilloscopes

- Experience following Agile development methodology and familiar with software tools such as Jira and Confluence

- Strong communication and organization skills

- Experience with communication protocols such as Modbus, BACnet, DNP3, MQTT, IEC61850 is a plus

- Experience with power system is a plus
