Leading 90-year-old, New York Metal Fabrication Company is seeking a Purchasing Assistant/AP support
Support a busy, fast paced, 90 year-old manufacturer/fabricator with the acquisition of material and supplies and accounts payable support.
- Purchasing from existing vendors/suppliers
- Running daily and weekly reorder advice reports
- Verifying pricing on existing items and reviewing acknowledgements for accuracy
- Expediting open orders
- Review inventory reports and understand the impact of purchasing on inventory
- Entry of receiving documents and verifying against purchase orders
- Set up new suppliers in the computer system
- Support and back-up of Accounts Payable
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
- High School Graduate or Equivalent (Associates Degree a Plus)
- Previous experience with purchasing or related office skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to learn and use our in-house software
- Competent with Excel and other MS Office programs
- Excellent communication skills
