About This Job

Description:

The Purchasing Agentwill be responsible for managing and improving our procurement operations, utilizing SAP Business ByDesign (ByD), and developing a robust Qualified Vendor List (QVL). This role is ideal for someone who is process-driven, analytical, and ready to lead cost-saving initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

•

Manage all purchasing activities using SAP Business ByDesign

•

Source, evaluate, and onboard vendors to build and maintain a Qualified Vendor List

•

Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with domestic and international suppliers

•

Ensure compliance with trade laws, tariffs, and freight cost calculations

•

Align purchasing with inventory forecasts to minimize stockouts and excess inventory

•

Generate procurement reports and track vendor performance

•

Collaborate with internal teams (finance, production, engineering, and operations)

Requirements:

•

5+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment

•

Strong experience with ERP systems (SAP ByDesign preferred)

•

Proven negotiation and vendor management skills

•

Excellent data analysis, reporting, and organizational abilities

•

Ability to work full-time on-site, Monday–Friday

Preferred Qualifications:

•

Experience with international purchasing and landed cost tracking

•

Familiarity with supply chain compliance standards

•

Strong communication and cross-functional teamwork skills
