Champion is looking for a Proposal Writer to support new nuclear work, from being part of historic nuclear builds/refurbishments to analyzing project scopes and developing detailed and competitive bids.
- Lead end-to-end proposal development, including review of RFPs/RFQs/RFIs, compliance analyses, proposal outlines, and content planning.
- Write clear, compelling, and responsive proposal sections, including technical narratives, management approaches, staffing plans, past performance, and executive summaries.
- Coordinate cross-functional inputs from subject matter experts, project managers, leadership, and external partners to ensure timely, accurate content delivery.
- Develop and manage proposal schedules, calendars, and checklists to keep all team members aligned and on track.
- Ensure all proposal submissions meet agency requirements, formatting rules, evaluation criteria, and compliance standards.
- Conduct research to tailor proposals to customer needs, agency missions, and competitive landscapes.
- Lead color team reviews (Pink, Red, Gold), incorporate feedback, and produce polished final deliverables.
- Manage version control, editing, and final production for electronic or hard-copy submissions.
- Maintain proposal templates, past performance library, and proposal management tools to streamline future submissions.
- Support post-submission activities, including clarifications, oral presentations, and debrief requests.- 5+ years professional experience with proven writing and project management track record.
- Exceptional ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent writing and visualization skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Thorough proofreading skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities; capable of independently structuring time and tasks to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated resourcefulness and initiative in problem-solving and adapting to changing needs.
- Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Creative presentation design experience - experience with InDesign, Photoshop, Publisher, Canva, and other graphic design programs a plus but not required.
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
This role will be hybrid, approximately 80% remote and 20% in our Alpharetta, GA office.
