POSITION SUMMARY:
The Production Homes Project Manager is responsible for end to end execution of solar installations across assigned new construction communities. This role owns each project from order through System Activation and is accountable for schedule adherence, field quality, inspection success, builder communication, and timely progression to PTO. The Project Manager operates in a high volume, fast paced production environment and is expected to proactively prevent errors, resolve issues without delay or direct supervision, and maintain full visibility across all active projects. Success in this role is defined by consistent ownership, strong client relationships, accurate documentation, and minimal inspection or quality failures.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own and manage a high-volume construction pipeline from initial order through system activation
- Serve as the primary point of contact for homebuilders, providing clear, timely communication and resolving issues before escalation
- Coordinate with homebuilder superintendents and installation teams to establish, maintain, and enforce project schedules
- Proactively identify risks that may impact schedule, quality, or inspections, and implement corrective actions to prevent delays
- Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation including contracts, invoices, change orders, inspection records, and progress updates
- Review installations for quality assurance and proper documentation, driving corrections with stakeholders and relevant teams as required
- Travel to job sites regularly to verify work is performed to company standards, approved plans, and safety requirements
- Track site execution to ensure all work meets approved scope, quality expectations, and inspection readiness
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to review plans, specifications, and drawings to ensure compliance with applicable authorities
- Escalate systemic quality or process issues to leadership and drive implementation of process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce errors
- Support and train homebuilder staff on solar processes and installation sequencing as needed
- Support homebuyers with product consultations when required
- Perform additional duties as required to ensure successful project delivery
