ROLE DESCRIPTION:
•MUST be currently Junior or Senior Enrolled in a bachelor’s Program in Business Administration, Information Technology/Systems or Computer Science from an accredited college or university.
•Work Schedule: Core days Monday - Wednesday with Thursday and Friday possible remote, During School need to be able to work a minimum of 12 - 20 hours per week during business hours and can work up to 28 hours a week Max if a fit for the Student and During Breaks can be up to 40 hours a week as needed. (we will work around your school schedule and Finals).
•Length of Internship: 12 weeks minimum and could extend longer if a fit for the student and need to be able to commit to this time frame if selected.
•Must be able to start between August 18th – September 2nd, 2025, and be able to work at the office.

Our products include advanced class gas turbines, hydrogen gas turbines, lithium ion and flow battery technologies, digital solutions, and renewable energy project development.
The PMO Operations Intern is tasked with the responsibility of supporting the Project Management Office in enhancing internal processes, documentation, and tool management. Responsibilities include building and organizing the PMO SharePoint team site, developing governance templates, documenting standard procedures, and assisting with portfolio updates in Smartsheet. This role offers hands-on experience in project governance, knowledge management, and operational support across the project lifecycle.
BASIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
•Assist in designing and structuring the PMO SharePoint site to improve team collaboration and knowledge sharing.
•Create and maintain governance templates, workflows, and documentation.
•Support the documentation of PMO processes, procedures, and best practices.
•Update and maintain project portfolio data in Smartsheet.
•Collaborate with PMO staff to ensure operational consistency and data accuracy.
•Perform other such duties as may be required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EDUCATION

•Education and/or Experience: Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree (BS) program in Business Administration, Information Technology/Systems or Computer Science from a four-year, accredited college or university. Targeting Junior or Senior year students.
•Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from various groups including team members, managers and internal customers.
•Computer Skills: Knowledge of project management tools e.g. Smartsheet and Microsoft, SharePoint Microsoft suite, spreadsheet, word processing software, electronic mail, graphics, technical diagrams, flow charts, and Visio.

•Interested in learning about IT Project Management, Project Planning, PMO organization management and Operations management process design.
•Project management frameworks and methodologies, such as waterfall, agile, or hybrid approaches
•How a Project Management Office (PMO) supports strategic execution across departments
