What You Will Contribute:

The Project Lead is primarily responsible for the successful completion of multiple mid-level projects with minimal supervision. Individuals in this position will provide project management oversight to satisfy scope, budget and schedule for assigned projects.

This position provides guidance for project planning, project oversight, facilitation, escalation of project issues and support for project team members across the organization. This position is also responsible of providing project management support in the creation, development and implementation of process improvements, continuous improvement initiatives and as well as industrialization of new products and equipment in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.

Job Duties:

- Maintain an effective product planning process to ensure meeting a minimum 90% of company-defined target metrics relative to project schedules, project scope and project budgets. All items must be kept current for the duration of the product development process.

- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the Project Management department including, but not limited to, process and value stream mapping, standard operating procedure (SOP) evaluation and development.

- Lead a cross-functional team through NPD, Process, or Capitalization projects without a direct reporting structure.

- Partner with cross-functional teams to set and continually manage project expectations and communicate project status with transparency.

- Problem solves and ensures all project risks are proactively identified, documented or avoided throughout the lifecycle of a project.

- Responsible for assisting cross-functional team members through successful risk mitigation tools and techniques to remove barriers to success and maintain original project release schedules.

- Provide updates to the Priority Project Status Report on a timely basis.

- Manage projects to comply with requirements of the ISO 9008 Standard.

- Participate in continued education in the latest project management techniques and remain at the forefront of business practices.

- Assist Product Owner(s) in developing and maintaining the Project Backlog.

- Create, implement and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

- Participate in project postmortems to create and disseminate report outs relative to successful and unsuccessful completed project elements.

- Assist in the development of phase gate and milestone achievement metrics (Key Performance Indicators).


Education and Experience:

- Bachelor's degree preferred

- 3+ years of experience in Project Management, Process management, Workflow Management, Continuous Improvement, Quality Management or Engineering desired


Qualifications:

- PMP certification preferred

- Intermediate knowledge of schedule development

- Detail orientated mindset by keeping track of various components, deadlines, and requirements.

- Basic creative problem solving skills

- Basic understanding of risk mitigation and management

- Basic Negotiation skills

- Ability to adopt a proactive attitude toward enhancing processes, products, or services

- Working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.

- Demonstrate effective collaboration with all levels of the organization utilizing advanced written and verbal skills
