The ideal candidate will be responsible for working with the Project Manager to ensure the participation of cross-functional stakeholders in furthering project goals. With organization and prioritization skills, this candidate will organize the necessary pieces to ensure project success.
The Project Coordinator assists the Project Managers with estimating, project planning and coordinating activities. They will provide project support through document control, scheduling, vendor management, and the development of project methodologies.
Coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment and information.
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports
Break projects into specific actions and milestones, set timeframes
Assist in project resource loading and management; Labour, Equipment, Materials, Third Party
Ensure project information is organized, and distributed to stakeholders
Use tools to monitor working hours, plans and expenditures
Work with Project Manager to tackle project obstacles, provide problem solving support
Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports
Oversee project document control and paperwork requirements (contracts, purchase orders, terms, and agreements)
Issue required Client submittals and transmittals for projects.
Assist in compiling Project Lessons Learned for review and evaluation
Liaise with clients to identify and define requirements, scope and objectives
The position is hybrid, requiring both in-office and on-site work as necessary
Completion of post-secondary education in Construction, Procurement, or Engineering or related discipline
3+ years of previous Project Coordination experience or similar role
Experience in project management, from conception to delivery
CAPM or PMP Certification would be considered an asset
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Particularly Excel)
A strong aptitude to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules and step-by-step action plans
Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance control
Experience working in specific Project Management and Scheduling Software an asset
