The Project Coordinator will support project setup, production optimization, and capital equipment planning. The Project Coordinator will help map out efficient production line layouts, recommend equipment, price out components, and collaborate across teams to bring complex projects from concept to implementation.
A successful candidate must be able to:
•Coordinate and manage day-to-day project activities related to facility and production line setup.
•Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
•Track project progress, report on key milestones, and ensure deadlines and budgets are met.
•Use AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar software to design production floor layouts, equipment placements, and workflow diagrams.
•Create and revise 2D and 3D CAD drawings for equipment configurations and plant setups.
•Work closely with engineering and operations teams to ensure designs meet space, safety, and process requirements.
•Assist in evaluating production needs and identifying equipment specifications and performance requirements.
•Conduct research and obtain quotes for machinery, tools, and production infrastructure.
•Make data-driven recommendations on equipment selection based on cost, lead time, scalability, and vendor reliability.
•Work with vendors and procurement to ensure timely sourcing, delivery, and setup of equipment.
•Help prepare capital expenditure (CapEx) justifications and ROI analysis for equipment purchases.
•Serve as a key liaison between operations, engineering, leadership, and external vendors.
•Facilitate on-site coordination for installations, layout changes, and production trials.
•Ensure all designs and project activities are aligned with company goals, compliance standards, and safety regulations.
•All other duties assigned.
A successful candidate will demonstrate:
•Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Design, Drafting, Construction Management, or a related field.
•1+ years of experience in project coordination, industrial layout design, or production planning or similar experience.
•Proficient in AutoCAD and 3D modeling software (e.g., SolidWorks, SketchUp, or Revit).
Qualifications:
•Ability to interpret technical specifications, equipment manuals, and floor plans.
•Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
•Familiarity with manufacturing or industrial production environments is strongly preferred.
•Experience with project management software (MS Project, Monday.com, or similar) is a plus
Physical Requirements:
•This position may require the ability to perform tasks that involve standing, walking, lifting 50+ lbs, bending, stooping, computer work, working with live electricity, and other physical activities.
